The Quiraing is an outstanding dramatic landscape located on the Trotternish Ridge of the Isle of Skye. It is an immense and still-moving landslip shaped over 175 million years by volcanic forces and erosion. Its striking features are defined by rugged cliffs and towering pinnacles of thick layers of volcanic basalt lava lying on softer Jurassic shales and sandstones. This dynamic terrain continues to evolve today.
