Autumn mists drift through the Teign Valley above Fingle Bridge on the fringes of Dartmoor. The surrounding Fingle Woods are part of a woodland restoration initiative where eight separate woodlands are managed as one, and reclaimed for nature and people. These rich mixed woodlands and glades surrounding the Teign Gorge support many species of fungi, mosses and lichens, woodpeckers, flycatchers and otters, and in Spring, bats, fritillaries, bluebells, anemones and wild daffodils.
