Photo of the Week

Beinn a’ Chearcaill 726m is surrounded by some of the most spectacular tectonic and glacial landscapes in Britain and some of the oldest preserved landforms in Europe. This rounded hill on the northern fringe of Torridon has a flat topped summit area consisting of a large slab of Red Torridonian sandstone 1650 million years old. Scored with cracks and littered with boulders, this excellent viewpoint looks across into Coire Mhic Fhearchair and Beinn Eighe 1010m with its prominent Triple Buttress.
