High above Loch Treig, and south of Inveroy in Glen Spean lie two hidden Munro mountains often called The Easains. Stob Coire Easain 1115m meaning ‘the peak of the Corrie of the Little Waterfall’, and its close twin top Stob a’Choire Mheadhoin 1105m meaning ‘peak of the Middle Corrie’, have their summits only one kilometre apart. These two mountaintops are joined by a high col above Coire Easain Beag, noted for its red coloured rocky outcrops at 965m.
