Photo of the Week

Bluebells Hyacinthoides non-scriptus and wild cherry Prunus avium. The wild cherry is often present in beech woods, where their white blossom petals stand out amongst the pale green beech leaves. Bluebells thrive in well established shady woodland and on stable undisturbed soils. Loughrigg Fell, Cumbria.

About Jeanie Lazenby

Jeanie is a photograper with a passion for being outdoors capturing what
Mother Nature offers us. Her favourite genre is landscape photography and she is at her happiest in her wellies and waterproofs
on the coast or amongst the hills.

Jeanie does not do much by way of post-processing, preferring instead to wait patiently and capture the view in front of her,
in camera, with the assistance of neutal density filters. The fun for her is capturing the moment... and you may see her jumping
up and down like an excited child at Christmas when it all comes together and she gets the shot.

In 2018 Jeanie was delighted to be chosen as overall winner in the Landscape category of Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year,
as well as also winning the Spring section of the Four Seasons category in the same competition.
