Photo of the Week

The Black Cuillin of Skye is the most spectacular and challenging mountain range in Britain. Stretching for twelve kilometres and encompassing eleven Munro’s along the main ridge. The jagged peaks of volcanic gabbro rock have celebrated names that often describe their character and atmosphere. Sgurr nan Gillean 964m (top right) means Peak of the Young Men, whilst Am Bhasteir 934m (top left) means The Executioner. Scrambling along these ridges and summits is a serious undertaking.
